Jay opened the doors of Jaba Grill and Bar on Lichfield Street in 2018, bringing with him 25 years of hospitality excellence & experience in Auckland, Sydney & Port Macquarie.
Since then Jaba has grown from local favourite to one of the most talked about spots for steak in Christchurch, climbing the ranks to become Christchurch's #1 steakhouse on Google and TripAdvisor.
Along with his wife Monica, Jay is often on the floor ensuring customers receive his humorous and attentive service, making Jaba a place where all are welcome, offering the best of kiwi hospitality.

DIETARY NEEDS
95% of our menu is made with free from gluten ingredients making our menu suitable for coeliac diets. We aim to cater for many different dietaries so please let us know when you book so we can be prepared for you.
ALLERGIES
All menu items are prepared in a kitchen that contains gluten, dairy, almonds, cashew, walnut, sesame + pumpkin seeds on premises. Please inform staff if you have any allergies.
CHILDREN
Please note we do not have a kids menu or high chairs. We welcome children to join us but we do ask that they stay seated to enjoy the experience.
